Gala 2012 - the IMPACT begins ....

On Saturday evening, October 20th, 2012 at the Santaluz Club celebrate with JP Catholic University students and faculty as their IMPACT on our culture for Christ begins to unfold.

The mission of the University, which opened in 2006, is to IMPACT Culture for Christ. There are now over 100 alumni with undergraduate degrees in Communications Media and Business and graduate degrees in Film Producing and Biblical Theology. These graduates, who brought significant talent, were nurtured and formed by the University, and now are beginning to demonstrate significant ability to IMPACT through their work across the country.

The talent of our faculty and students, along with the tools generously provided by our benefactors are creating an army of young professionals, equipped with the tools of Media and Business, and a deep love for and knowledge of the Lord are ready to Impact our Culture for Christ

Pope John Paul II frequently talked of the urgency to evangelize culture. The enculturation of the Gospel is an integral part of the New Evangelization, a task which is ancient yet ever new. John Paul II talked of the innate ability of the Gospel to take root in every culture, shaping and developing it, purifying it and opening it to the fullness of truth and life, which is realized in Jesus Christ.

John Paul the Great Catholic University is a response to the call of Blessed John Paul II in his last Apostolic Letter Rapid Development to train students to use the mass media to spread the Gospel; to integrate the message of salvation into the new culture that these powerful means of communication create and amplify. He argues that the use of the techniques and the technologies of contemporary communications is an integral part of (the Church's) mission in the third millennium.

The IMPACT begins: Meet and celebrate with the students of John Paul the Great Catholic University - who have dared to answer the call of John Paul the Great. They are striving encounter Jesus Christ, to get to know and love Him ever more deeply, ultimately formed to go forth to impact our culture for Him.
