Pope Benedict XVI in his homily at St Patrick’s Cathedral in New York talked of 'the Church in America will know a new springtime in the Spirit'. The late Pope John Paul II talked frequently of this 'new springtime'. JP Catholic, now in its third year of operation, is part of this new springtime sweeping the church in America today.

Keynote Speakers:

1. Tom Peterson, founder and president of CatholicsComeHome.org a welcoming ministry using inspiring TV commercials and an interactive website for anyone who has left the Catholic Church or anyone interested in becoming Catholic. In a March 2008 campaign, over 155,000 people visited the CatholicsComeHome.org website, and specifically in the Diocese of Phoenix test market 6,000 inactive Catholics visited the website to find their way home, and thousands more people came back to the Catholic faith directly through confession and Mass. According to the Diocese of Phoenix, the response was an “overwhelming success.” Today, Catholics Come Home is partnering with various archdioceses and dioceses across the United States including: Phoenix, Lexington, St. Louis, Lincoln, Colorado Springs, Sacramento, and others.

2. Dr Derry Connolly, president and co-founder of John Paul the Great Catholic University will update the audience on the progress made by JP Catholic during its first 3 years of operation and will discuss the many opportunities being presented to the new institution.
