JP Catholic seeks to attract students who are passionate about their faith in Jesus Christ and about seeking careers as creators and
innovators, leaders and entrepreneurs in the fields of Entertainment Media and Business.
Applicants to JP Catholic are generally academically talented, intellectually curious, self-motivated,
and actively engaged in diverse activities at their high schools, churches, and in their community.
The student body reflects a wide range of economic, ethnic, racial and geographic backgrounds.
Additionally, we are looking for students that are interested in challenging
themselves in and out of the classroom; students who will carry their faith into the marketplace and workplace after they graduate.

Is JP Catholic affordable?
Our commitment is to meet, as much as possible, every admitted student’s demonstrated need through a financial aid package that will include
scholarships, grants, work-study, and loans. Over 60% percent of our students receive financial aid to insure that students with
demonstrated need can take advantage of a JP Catholic education.
Are there merit scholarships?
Yes - JP Catholic offers a number of $4,000 - $8,000 merit-based
scholarships,
which are awarded to an exceptional group of entering applicants.
The scholarship is awarded to students who demonstrate academic excellence combined with extraordinary community service, outstanding leadership
or entrepreneurship, or exceptional creative or innovative talent. The scholarship awards are renewable for four years.
All accepted applicants may apply for the available scholarship. The application is an essay describing why you should receive the award.
Are there need-based grants?
Yes- JP Catholic offers a number of $1,000 - $8,000 need-based grants.
The grant awards are renewable for four years.
All accepted applicants may apply for the available grants. The application requires a demonstration of why you should receive the need-based grant.
Are there Work-Study positions available?
Yes- JP Catholic offers a limited number of work-study positions.
These payroll positions provide limited additional financial assistance to students in extreme need. These positions are advertised as needed.
Note that work-study earnings are taxable and taxes will be withheld. They are retained based on campus needs and student performance.
Does JP Catholic admit by major, and when do I have to declare?
You may apply to JP Catholic without declaring a major and you are not required to declare until the beginning of your sophomore year.
However, we strongly encourage students to declare by the end of their freshman year.
Can I double major or design a major?
Generally no.
Will I have an academic advisor?
JP Catholic faculty provide academic advising.
Faculty advisor work individually with you to formulate a plan to meet your educational objectives,
your major objectives, and your personal academic objectives. This happens on an as-needed basis.

What are the JP Catholic apartments like?
JP Catholic residence apartments are close to the classroom complex. Students can drive, walk, ride a bike or take a bus.
Each apartment has a living and dining room, a full kitchen and laundry facilities.
There is an assistant Residence Director and a staff of eight Resident Associates at the apartment complex.

Can I bring a car and/or bike to campus?
Yes, you can bring both however, we do not recommend you bring a car as parking is limited. You can walk almost anywhere.
Plenty of commercial and recreational amenities are also within walking distance. Public transportation is available.
