Why did you choose JP Catholic?

I am at JP Catholic for distinct purpose. I am here to help build JP Catholic. I feel this is a once and a lifetime opportunity, do be an influence and contributing factor to the overall shaping of the university. I have yet to hear of a college that is faithfully Catholic, near the beach, in San Diego, and with the top echelon of business curriculum around.

Why did you choose your major?

I chose my major, Entrepreneurial Business, because I wanted to get a degree that would give me the most options after graduation. Through my time working at Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., I developed an interest in finance and I realized every company needs someone that is financially minded. There is a business aspect to any job, from surfboard manufacturing, to white-water rafting excursions, to movie production, and to community banking. Companies that do these things need a business guy and I thought I could be that business guy. The training I am getting at JP Catholic will allow to be financially minded as well as perform numerous other business functions such as: advertising and marketing, accounting, web design, personnel management, and overall business planning.

What are your favorite campus activities?

My favorite campus activity are the following: sleeping, hanging out with friends, surfing, snowboarding, hiking, camping, skateboarding, restaurant-ing, cooking and eating with my friends, especially Collin Clark from New Orleans. He makes a mean jambalaya.

Who is your favorite professor?

This is one of the hardest decisions because I have built such great relationships with all my professors at JP Catholic. But, my favorite professor has to be Michael Barber. He has such a vast knowledge of Theology and Scripture, and a burning desire to share that knowledge with the students at JP Catholic. Every day in class, Professor Barber allows me to learn something new about myself, my faith, and my God.
