The learning experience at JP Catholic is influenced by the late Pope John Paul II's challenge
that the world needs genuine witnesses to Christian ethics in the field of business making
the world's marketplaces and workplaces better for every race and creed.
John Paul the Great Catholic University plans to offer a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree
in Technology (approval has not been requested from the State of California BPPVE for this degree program). While the applications within Technology degree programs will
focus strongly on media-enabling technologies and their commercialization, the student may chose to apply his/her skills to the broads fields of digital media,
computer engineering and computer science.
The following are the planned areas of emphasis:
Computer Engineering
Graduates of this area of emphasis can expect to acquire the theoretical and practical knowledge that will
position them on the frontiers of the technology and architecture of complex and cutting-edge
electronics products. Students will learn the fundamental and interdisciplinary principles of
electrical, mechanical, and software engineering. They will learn how successful product companies
combine technical principles with various novel market opportunities to gain marketplace competitive
advantage. Graduates will be skilled in product concept selection and design through launch. Graduates
will expect to pursue career opportunities as innovators, leaders and entrepreneurs either in their
own companies or with existing enterprises. See JP Catholic's proposed curriculum outline in
