JP Catholic University is currently recruiting the following academic positions:

1. Associate Provost for Academic Affairs

JP Catholic University invites applications for the position of Associate Provost for Academic Affairs (APAA). Reporting to the Provost, the Associate Provost leads and manages the University's: (1) Accreditation efforts and serves as the Accreditation Liaison Officer to the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC); (2) Institutional Research, which supports the University's mission and strategic initiatives, including the systematic collection and evaluation of longitudinal data to support planning and institutional accreditation; and (3) strategic academic planning and budgeting processes.

The APAA responsibilities will include: leading and directing institutional effectiveness, student learning outcomes assessment and enhancement, institutional research, planning, the accreditation processes; coordinating program review and assessment cycles to measure and support program quality through continuous improvement; overseeing data collection, analysis, and reporting systems to support decision-making and planning. He/she will be a key campus leader in outcomes assessment, accreditation processes, benchmarking initiatives, the use of key indicators, student retention efforts, and through collaboration and creativity fosters a campus culture of assessment and related planning; providing leadership and oversight in the implementation of strategies aimed at creating a culture that always strives for continuous improvement in academic processes, policies, and operations.

Qualifications: The APAA position requires a Master's Degree (doctorate highly preferred) plus five to seven years of higher education experience with responsibility/oversight/supervision for accreditation, including assessment and effectiveness. Additional requirements include: experience and knowledge of WASC (or other regional accrediting bodies) standards, policies and procedures; a broad knowledge of outcomes assessment of both, student learning and institutional effectiveness; a demonstrated ability to gather data from a variety of sources, synthesize and summarize the information, and clearly present the information in both verbal and written formats; an understanding of contemporary higher education policy issues and how they impact institutional research and reporting requirements; strong planning, project management, organizational, facilitation skills are essential; exceptional analytical skills to develop research, establish key indicators that contributes to policy analysis; a strong background in quantitative and qualitative empirical research methodology and survey administration; familiarity with software programs used in institutional research and effectiveness; a deep understanding of trends affecting higher education; a demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; knowledge of assessment tracking software.

  • Marketing & Finance

The ideal candidates are closely aligned with the mission of JP Catholic, are highly creative, have excellent professional skills, and are passionate about teaching. An earned doctorate or terminal professional degree (MBA, MFA) is required. Distinguished industrial accomplishments at a senior level (CEO, CTO, Founder, VP, Director, etc), evidenced by significant contributions to the relevant industry may substitute for the advanced degree requirement.

3. Entrepreneurs-in-Residence (Emphasis - New & Old Media, General Business)
These positions involve working with students outside of the classroom and encouraging them in their entrepreneurial ambitions. The ideal candidates will have: had a successful career in industry at a senior level (Founder, CEO, CTO, VP, Director, Producer etc); a strong commitment to the founding principles of JP Catholic; and a burning desire to help students with their business ideas and to give back to the Lord and to the Church. The Entrepreneurs-in-Residence will be active within our on-campus LaunchPad.

Entrepreneurs-in-Residence are volunteer positions.
