The Board of Regents is a collection of people interested in the development and endowment of
JP Catholic, and in generally fostering and advancing the welfare of the University. Members include:

- Derry Connolly: President, JP Catholic University
- Paul Colucci: Senior Vice President of University Affairs, JP Catholic University
Derry Connolly PhD is President of John Paul the Great Catholic University. In a part-time capacity,
he represents the University of California, San Diego on the Executive Board of CCAT – the Center for the Commercialization of Advanced Technology and heads up CCAT
mentoring services. He teaches Applied Innovation at the Von Liebig Center for Entrepreneurism and Technology Advancement at UCSD.
Derry was previously Associate Dean of Continuing Education at UCSD, leading a program with 40,000 part-time adult students, 125+ full-time staff
(academic and administrative), and 1500+ part-time Instructors. He has a Ph.D. in Applied Mechanics from Cal-Tech; B. Sc. and M. Sc. in Mathematical
Science from University College, Cork, Ireland; holds 8 US patents; and has 15 years of industrial experience with IBM and Kodak.
Derry and his wife Lidy have 5 children. They attend Good Shepherd Parish, Mira Mesa, CA.
Paul Colucci is the Senior Vice President of JP Catholic University.
He also owns and operates a private real estate company focused on investment, management, and development of multi-family and office real estate
opportunities in Southern California. His expertise includes experience in acquisitions and dispositions, capital markets, strategic planning,
investment analysis, investor relations, and asset management. Previously, he worked with Goldman Sachs, Inc. in the real estate
investment-banking group in New York City. At Goldman Sachs, he was involved in over $5 billion of CMBS transactions and his responsibilities
included underwriting oversight, rating agency and investor relations, and due diligence coordination.
He also worked with Batchelder and Partners, a boutique investment bank focusing on mergers & acquisitions and corporate finance advisory services.
He is a San Diego County native and a graduate of USD. Paul and his wife Maureen have two children and attend St. Therese of Carmel Parish in
Carmel Valley.
