Celebrating Benefactors with extraordinary generosity for a bold vision

JP Catholic takes inspiration from the words of Christ in Luke 17:6 If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you would say to (this) mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it would obey you.

Generous benefactors continue to provide the critical seed capital to John Paul the Great Catholic University, a 501(c)(3) non profit public charity organization. JP Catholic opened in the Fall of 2006 with 30 freshman students and will add a new class each year until all four years are on-campus in the Fall of 2009 (approximately 180 students in total). JP Catholic hold classes in our facilities in Scripps Ranch. JP Catholic seeks funds to build a permanent campus that will ultimately house 1600 students. Give to the most high as He has given to you, generously, according to your means. For the LORD is one who always repays, and he will give back to you sevenfold. Sirach 35:9-10. Back to Top

Cash. Our most critical need is for unrestricted cash. JP Catholic to-date has received gifts ranging from $1 to over $100,000 from hundreds of benefactors from all across the US. The funds are being used to build JP Catholic's infrastructure and to create a reserve to assure near-term fiscal stability.

Endowments are an important financial resource for JP Catholic students to help with tuition costs. Many students wishing to attend JP Catholic will not be able to afford the full tuition. A great American tradition is to make scholarships available to deserving students based both on financial need and the desire to attract academically gifted students. Many foundations, organizations and generous families will endow scholarships. Benefactors can target their scholarship endowment for a specific major or group of students.

Land. The Trustees are seeking land, developed or undeveloped, that is large enough (80-120 acres) to handle the ultimate student body of 1600 students.

Annual Gifts will help create the initial JP Catholic infrastructure and will support a variety of academic and extra-curricular programs. They will help JP Catholic to respond to unanticipated financial needs. Annual contributions to the general or unrestricted funds will help to provide for future faculty, student and staff activities, purchase equipment and support other needs not provided through traditional resources.

Planned Gifts from your will or estate plan will foster and continue values important to you and your family. Planned and deferred gifts can provide maximum tax benefits to benefactors and their heirs. JP Catholic staff can show interested benefactors how even a modest gift can significantly impact the future of Catholic higher education in America.

Equipment and In Kind Gifts will enhance the educational experience of all students at JP Catholic. Donations can include all types of equipment that is commonly used on a college campus, particularly: computers; laboratory and film production equipment; software; classroom, dorm and recreation furniture and fittings; office supplies; vehicles; services (including attorneys, educators, facility planners, builders, architects, doctors and nurses) etc.

John Paul the Great Catholic University is a 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity. Contributions support programs that benefit JP Catholic students, faculty, and staff; Contributions to JP Catholic are tax deductible as provided by law.
