2. Student recruitment in full swing.

Student recruitment is in full swing for its inaugural class of 2010. Student applications are coming from California and across the nation. The level of inquires increases daily. JP Catholic is searching for a unique type of student, one that:

  • thirsts for a greater knowledge and understanding of Jesus Christ
  • takes to heart the call of John Paul II to use the media as a tool for the “New Evangelization”
  • has a confidence that they can make a difference in the world using their creative and innovative talents
  • is a risk taker

JP Catholic is looking for the few, the brave, and those not afraid to step off the “path well trodden”. Andy Marchi, Director of Student Recruitment at JP Catholic urges students to come and visit our facility and to look at the apartment housing. “We are talking with many excited students. They find our academic programs very appealing. Parents naturally are concerned that this is the inaugural class. We do everything we can to assure them that we will take good care of their students—spiritually, academically and socially.” Back to Top

4. Become a JP Catholic Ambassador in your community.

JP Catholic needs your support in getting the word out to your community. Critical to our success is people knowing we exist. We especially need potential students and their families to know what we have to offer. Because we are looking for a very special type of student, it takes a lot of contacts to get the right students to apply. We are hoping that, through prayerful consideration, many of you may want to be a JP Catholic University Ambassador. As an Ambassador, you would distribute information (flyers, application packets, recruitment videos) to potentially interested groups, including Catholic high schools, home schooling networks, parish youth ministers, Catholic media outlets, or any Catholic organization that may be interested in knowing more about the vision of JP Catholic. If you are interested in helping the university as an Ambassador, please contact Brian Mooney at (858)653-6740 or at BMooney@JPCatholic.com. Brian will send you information to pass out, some sample call sheets that will explain how to contact these organizations, as well as answers to the most commonly asked questions. Back to Top

5. JP Catholic Wish List

We find inspiration in the words of Christ in Luke 17:6 If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you would say to (this) mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it would obey you. Scripture tells us in many places of the rewards of giving to the Lord. Give to the most high as He has given to you, generously, according to your means. For the LORD is one who always repays, and he will give back to you sevenfold. Sirach 35:9-10. Back to Top
